IH-666S - The Devil's Fit Indigo - Slim Tapered

Hello All.
These are my recent 666s purchased, 29" tag size - actual measurement 30.2"- hemmed - 33 inseam.
I'm a 30" in waist, and gave them a warm soak this morning.and they seem to fit perfectly.
Admittedly had buttoning issues, but all done up, within 5 minutes

Such a gorgeous denim! I remember it was G's favourite once (maybe still is?) and I can definitely see why. My overall second IH pair (the first one being the magnificent signature 21 oz) was a 666S and I was simply blown away by this denim's character. Really sad to see it's almost extinct now. Maybe IH will offer one extant unsanforized denim option in the foreseeable future? That would be brilliant.

Totally agree with you. Sad to see the denim retired in this cut, but stoked that I have a pair. I remember first being on the forum and reading every thread top to bottom and seeing one of the OG’s with a bonkers pair of these and thinking how rad this cut and denim were. Can’t remember who, may have been madmonday….. regardless. These are at my favourite stage currently.

Yours look great. I think it is interesting to see how the 21 oz stands up against the metal button of your wallet.
I remember the button of my old short wallet eating through 14 oz like nothing.
Totally valid point but for the sake of precision these were made from a now retired 18oz denim. It’s confusing because the 21oz jeans tend to use the “S” code but there you have it.

"All dimensions will shrink proportionately to the waist and inseam, those that are put under pressure will have a tendency to stretch back out, those that aren’t will not"
I usually expect to get about .3" of stretch in the thigh.

Yeah, thighs «relax» rather than stretch. .3” is really all you’ll get, especially on this 18oz denim. Obviously these shrink too so remember to factor for that. The 18oz is a pretty tight weave so it takes a while. A couple of weeks wear and you’ll be done.
The 21oz will stretch more readily, quicker and maybe a little more. And is fully sanforised, so don’t shrink. As a matter of interest, where did you find a pair of these for sale? They’ve been extinct for a while now.

I found a pair on Grailed! Thanks for the info guys. I'm going to err on the side of caution and not going with something that may be too small for my thighs.

I think these were done with cotton rather than poly stitching maybe…back pockets are starting to come off. I can probably repair that myself. Anyway here they are after 3 years.
