@endo Have you had a look at the Stetson’s…There might be one that fits your needs and you could save a ton of money by buying off the shelve versus made to order. Most of the places that sell them, steam them to get a semi-custom fit and look as well.

Anyone have recommendations for a denim ball cap with a curved brim? Also, just brands in general you like for ball caps. I have a big head and like hats with a structured high crown. I also love a flexfit. The filson tin cloth mesh logger fits just about perfect. New ear hats I'm between 7 3/4 and 8.

@wjw you could try Ciano Farmer. He’s making denim caps out of cone mills denim and also using hickory stripe, Wabash, and different weights and colors of canvas.

@jordanscollected those hats look sweet. I'm going to reach out to them and see if any of their hats go bigger than 24" for my big noggin. Thanks for the recommendation

@Denman-John that is a unique style hat. In one of his interviews he said he jumped into a pool one night at a party and his hat got all misshapen and wonky… and he said it opened his eyes to how he actually wanted his hat to look. It inspired him to start making interesting designs.
I got the Black Goose. And while it looks like a cattleman’s crease western with a straight brim, the slight wave and brown aging make it really stand apart.

@jordanscollected @endo Thanks for turning me onto Recapitate Headwear and putting it on my radar. I probably won’t order one until the new year as I have to dial in my hiking gear a bit more before going to Nepal. He’s making some really nice hats and there are a few I would be happy to wear. In the meantime I’ll live vicariously through you guys.

You can’t buy one of these. You have to earn it by setting a class record at Bonneville over 300 MPH. They’re awarded by the SCTA. This one belongs to my friend, SFMC brother and SCTA member Jim Hoogerhyde. He fast.
He’s also forgetful. I found it in my kitchen after he and his wife left my house this evening. I’ll keep it safe for him - and no, I won’t try it on. Stollen valor ain’t my thing.
