They feel like 50oz..
Thickness of the fabric is more heavier than the standard 25oz..
It shame they they didn’t make it to the final productions.

Another Poten hat….. black chino cloth. These hats are seriously fucking beautiful and easily the best quality caps I have handled in the flesh.
The chino cloth, rather than being deep black, is a rather fetching shade of blue/black/grey and has a real depth to it.

Girl Under The Willow by Renea Raub Ayers. Never hung something this big (60x48) but thankfully I didnt cock it up!
I got lucky even getting it because there were two couples in the gallery looking at it when I arrived.

Picked up a couple of things recently…...
Crown Northampton overstone derby. Made to order in oxblood Horween leather. Really, really nice in the flesh.
Universal Works ‘Peacekeeper’ (basically frog) camo vest. Basically a cotton shell, with the fabric being made in Japan. Vislon zips.
Really disliked the initial colour of this in the flesh so decided to overdye it by hand in olive green using Dylon. Found it really difficult to find any reference pics/footage to how it would turn out, so to help out others , did a quick video on YouTube after had dyed it. Essentially followed the instructions on the packet, with the exception of doing the black, where I added more water than suggested to prevent from becoming too black.
Results came out well (better than the pics suggest and was not patchy at all in the flesh). You can see the colour change clearly when examine the interior of the shell. Stitching and zip retained their original colour.
Mrs was not a fan of the olive (due to all the brown tones in the camo) so I dyed it again in black. Pictures not so great but vest itself came out really nicely imo.
Now deeply regret getting rid of some of my tigerstripe pieces over the years as definitely keen to do some more of the black dye.
