been reading the comments and views. my 2c would be, the name itself is a denim competition/championship. and it should be denim based and denim only. why would there even be a thought of something else in the first place.

Agreed. There are words like "jeans" that could connote a broader definition, but denim is also a word and words mean things. Ok done with negativity / irritation now.

The decision to include duck was made early and has been included since day 1 press releases and on the website, I have also mentioned it many times in posts. The flirtation with including other fabrics was to canvass opinion, this has been done, arguments were made and a decision taken.
