I really wish IH would do a commando sweater, it's so in their wheelhouse and they could do duck, denim, or chambray for the patches. An indigo version with 21oz patches, black with black duck, brown worth brown duck, etc.

Lacking that dream come true, Land's End's Chinese variant (nice, but not IH) over a gray IH thermal Henley over a Stevenson pocket tee. High is -1F back home with a wind chill in the -30 range, so layering this under a RMC N-1. Pray for me.
