IHSH-33-IND - 12oz Selvedge Denim Western Shirt - Indigo
-
Thanks, I'll be patient
-
Yesterday wrapped up 365 days around the sun in this IHSH-33-IND. This is the first piece I’ve worn that I completed a full year in!
Im not a blue collar guy. I work behind a desk & spend a lot of time on my couch. That’s where 85% of my fades came from.. but with me knowing this, I made sure to do everything possible in this shirt.
I’ve been camping, canoeing, hammocking, offroading, fishing, walking & hiking in this shirt. I wore it every time I went to the beach, church, my in-laws, the stores. Every time I worked on my car & did yard work.
No matter the situation or weather, I had this shirt on. Everything from 30 degree days to 98 degree days. The cold didn’t stop me, the heat didn’t stop me & the rain didn’t stop me.
If you wear your denim, you will get fades. Guaranteed.
I was going to give it one last wash before wrapping this year up and posting but 1. I didn’t have the correct soap & 2. It’s honestly not due for a wash yet, so no need to rob indigo from my higher contrast fades.
Day 365 | 1 soak 4 wash

Thanks my friend. I hear no lies! I want to continue wearing it for the foreseeable future. Assuming the 295-IB comes out in time, that should be my next shirt that I pair with my XHSib for IIY6. I should be using and abusing this 33 until then.
-
@worn2fade Getting better all the time.
-
@worn2fade I think maybe this is the evo phase I like most, looks faded and lived in well but still lots of life left.
-
@twin thanks brother!
-
@FlavourFade I get ya dude! If I’m being honest, my favorite evo stage is when it’s beat and battered. I’ve never had a piece get to that stage, but every time I see the owner of SJ’s denim shirt he’s been hammering for 6 years, I damn near start drooling. I can’t wait til my piece gets like that.
-
@worn2fade yeah Mike's townes shirt is absolutely bonkers and I'd love to have a shirt like this one day with repairs, damage, stories... But I think he said the one he's wearing is like six years old with lots of wear and washes
-
@FlavourFade yeah dude. It’s the repairs that look freaking sick to me, it’s also a 12oz shirt just like this one. With more washes down the line I know mine would brighten up, but I’m really looking forward to the future repairs honestly. I have my 25oz scraps ready for any future repairs on this shirt, 25oz sashiko repairs will be dope.
Ignore the text lol.

@worn2fade so cool

@RoxRocks86 did you ever go with brass snaps? Curious if they did patina over time?
-
Will this awesome shirt ever be made again? Indigo with yellow stitching in xxl…….someday
-
@catdad1 Negative. Never ended up pimping any shirts with brass snaps, but thanks for the reminder

-
@jimcord yes, but no specific date at the moment
-
Thank you for the info

I was lucky enough to find one of these on Ebay. It has never been washed and only worn once, but the dude before me wore A LOT of perfume, so it honestly stinks. I have had it hanging outside, but I cant lose all the smell. Is it OK to wash it even though it has basically seen no wear so far? I know the guy before my soaked it once. Thanks!
-
@Accuria2 It will be totally fine!
Although you could go roll around in the mud in it first if you are concerned
