G , I´ve always wondered, what´s  the story behind that "thing" on the upper of the nose of those Wesco Boots. Is it decoration or does it have a function or what?. To be honest I like the boots more without it. They are nice boots, that´s for sure!

It's a removable thing to protect the boot and distribute lacing pressure. Called a kiltie. I don't like them either, though I hate them less than I used to.

Correct, these are my boots. I sent them here: http://www.wijsmanschoenherstellers.nl/ to have them resoled. Cost me about 110,- Euros. They did a very good job. Good thing is, they are about to offer other styles of soles, like Cats Paw and Vibram 700 etc. I'd guess my next project is putting Cats Paw heels and Vibram 500 Chevron with a triple leather sole on my stock Wesco Boss boots. They currently have Vibram lug soles which are kind of boring.

As a fellow Dutchie I was wondering already where to send my IH Viberg boots when they need a resole in future , if they ever need one. Looks like they have the skills to do so. I wonder if they have ever handled a Viberg boot.
