For anyone that is into boots, you should really follow Brian the Bootmaker on Instagram. He does awesome work and is in the process of putting out some horsehide engineers. He also posts on Superfuture in the custom/resoled boots thread. Check him out. I just sent him a pair of Alden Roy boots to be resoled. I'll post pics once I get them back.

Are those jeans your X-33s? Interesting evo if so, it looks like more slub and less nep than before (which wouldn't be surprising). They also look to hold dye fairly well.

Yeah, the neps have mostly worn away, and the texture of the denim is starting to come out nicely.  As for the color, well, someone like Max probably would have worn them white by now.  I may not be the world's slowest fader, but I'm definitely in contention for the title.

New Viberg Shinki horsehide engineers.  8" tall; 2005 last; soft toe; roller buckles; Cat's Paw soles.  LOVE these boots, I am officially over mourning the fact that John Lofgren does not make a size 13… these are my first Vibergs and I am a true believer…

Thanks guys.  I believe these were a limited run, and they happened to have my size, and I'd been saving for Lofgren's and just learned size 13 was not going to happen.  The stars aligned.  The size 12 UK is a perfect fit, comparable to US 12.5 in White's.  I saw them posted on the Viberg Instagram feed http://instagram.com/p/hUPGVlrpoJ/ and pulled trigger.  Very few people appreciate this stuff - when I finally take a dirt nap my wife will probably give all my nice shit to Goodwill…
