I (and I think Tat) can't recommend the Lofgrens enough. The only reason my RCs are in the same conversation is the Takeshi resole. And RCs are unequivocally amazing boots. That's how great I find these Lofgrens. My favorite engineer out of the box.
The triple stitching, gorgeous Cuban heel, and I love the shape of the heel above that.
Long ankle strap, beautiful buckles, beautiful stitched storm welted outsole.
And the figure 8 vintage stitched sole, but using modern materials (vibram) instead of deadstock; this boot has a functional ethos.

To me 10" is the minimum (she said). You should be fine. 9" and lesser shafts (she clarified) are less than ideal.

Wonderful. Was there a reason you went from what looks like 8" to 11, I just ordered a pair of custom nicks and went with 10" height, hope I don't regret not going 11 or 12
I bought the 8" cxl first with no intention of buying another pair of engineers, then Morgan tempted me with some horsehide. So I put together a build that had a completely different aesthetic. Height, sole, last, buckles…..

Amazing boots Giles. Side by side you really get a good sense of both styles. I like both with the structured toe and without. It would be impossible choice, but win win either way.

I love dat 11 incher. Yes I know how that sounds. But really, love the lower toe box…
