Bummer, ok!

I know it can be hard to estimate, but the reason I’m trying to determine is that I have 3 pairs of new denim that I’m planning on sending away to be tapered and chainstitch hemmed here in the US. I was hoping to add a pair of the 1955 to that, so I’ve been holding off on sending the 3.

I’m willing to wait. Like I said, I know it can be hard to estimate. Is beginning of February any more likely?

I got several 21oz in this cut super stoked for the 14oz and the 21 OD!

I wear a 33 in the 634S-B but have a narrow waist (31" on an empty stomach). Am I crazy to think I may be able to go down to a 31 in these?

For a bit of context my 634 have stretched to a comfortable 12 6/8" in the thigh and the waist (measured flat, not the IH way) is around 16.4", but it also sits just above my hips, several inches below my navel and I wear a belt to keep it from sliding too low. Meanwhile I own an 888 in a size 33 that, pulled up properly, has 3-4" of room in the waist, so that I can't actually wear it high and it sits at around the same spot on my body as the 634. I can't size down on the 888 because the lower thigh would be way too tight, but given that these don't taper till after the knee I may be ok?

As much as we would like to help you right now, it will be pure speculation with a new run coming. It really is best for the new run to land, be measured and size chart updated and then it will be our absolute pleasure to dive into the sizing with you.

if you're worried, and between two sizes, buy both then worry about sizing afterwards. Worst case you get a full refund if none work

So we're looking at a potential restock of 1955 in 21oz indigo this month?

I don't have any jeans that currently fit me well. Would supplying a measurement of my thigh suffice? I could provide a measurement of the thigh of my work pants, I suppose.

I'm leaning towards picking up a pair of these based on the straight leg vs the 888s. I don't like the feeling of my calves being constantly hugged. I also miss my IH 21oz denim dearly and would like to put some back in the rotation.

Glad to hear there is a pending restock of the 21oz. The local stockist mentioned some 14oz being released, but the 21oz is what I really prefer.

@FlannelnBooze I know you mention you don't have any jeans that fit particularly well and only work pants but I would still use this as starting block, for example if your favourite pair of pants are a little big I would measure them and write down your that sizing, and if you have a pair that is slightly too tight, I would do the same, that way you will have a rough idea of where your ideal sizing will be, it may take a little trial and error but it will help narrow it down. I have 1955S-21 and I love them, they will definitely give you more room in the areas you want.

Here is a link to the measuring video that will help you measure your jeans and its the same way we do, Iron Heart measuring method – and then comparing these measurements to the size chart.

I would also just say to take this current size chart with a pinch of salt until we get the new batch and confirmed the sizing as there could be a slight difference as it can change slightly from batch to batch but there also might not be any drastic sizing changes.
