Masahiro Maruyama Acetate Collection & New Titanium Models
This week we have five new eyewear releases from Masahiro Maruyama. Three are made of Japanese acetate and two are made of titanium. All five come with tinted Carl Zeiss lenses, with each frame's lens color matching the frame to the designer's specifications.
All five of these frames are quite unique and the attention to detail in both design and material finish is top notch.

Studio D'Artisan 40th Anniversary Jeans & Flannel
For Studio D'Artisan's 40th anniversary they've released a special jean made of a 15oz denim with a cherry blossom dyed weft yarn and a winter flannel shirt made of indigo dyed yarns.
Both the jean and shirt are available in limited numbers at all stores and online. Please check the product pages for these items for a full spec list of information.

1/8 Takamura Chamarra Trapecio Jackets
1/8 Takamura have produced a new bronze version of their popular Chamarra Trapecio jackets. These still have the perfect fit which our clients loved last year and they're finally available in bronze. We've also received a small restock of the black version of this jacket.
1/8 Takamura is a brand which we've been carrying at Self Edge Mexico for over four years now. The brand is owned by a young Mexican designer from Mexico City by the name of Guillermo Vargas. His great grandfather was Japanese, hence the name of his line. Most of his collections over the past few years have been for women yet recently he's starting to do more garments for men. We hadn't planned on bringing the collection into our four stores north of the Mexican border, but this jacket was too good to pass up.
The fabric is woven at a small mill outside Mexico City and it's all cut and sewn in-house at the 1/8 Takamura studio in Roma Norte, Mexico City. It's a fresh design and from the initial reactions we've gotten from our staff and clients at our stores it seems the jacket is a hit. Helps to see these jackets in person as some of the details/lines are lost in photographs. These are available now at all five of our stores in four colors, bronze being this season's new color.

Iron Heart Leather Jacket Fiesta & More
Some very heavy boxes just landed from Iron Heart containing a new horsehide Type III jacket and fresh runs of their Split Steer Type III and the Self Edge edition of their horsehide zip jacket.
Along with these three leather jackets we've got their snap buttoned 10oz chambray shirt, workboot socks in gray and black, and new runs of their popular 633 straight tapered fit in their flagship 21oz indigo denim and the 8301s which is their 21oz Superblack-Fade-to-Gray denim in a slim tapered fit.

3sixteen x Schott Horween Chromexcel Tea-Core Dyed Horsehide Jackets
We're happy to announce that Self Edge is one of the lucky retailers to have been granted access to the new 3sixteen x Schott Horween Chromexcel tea-core dyed horsehide jacket collection. For the first time they've done two versions, a Perfecto style double rider's jacket and a A-2 reproduction with some twists. 3sixteen did a smart thing with the A-2 and designed these so there are side entry hand pockets hidden behind the traditional A-2 pockets. Both jackets are made of a custom Horween leather designed by 3sixteen, have lightly contrasting nickel hardware with stirrup shaped zipper pulls, and are lined with a Japanese printed cotton twill.
These are fairly limited and will not be restocked.

Iron Heart 633 in 14oz Black/Black Denim & New Horsehide Jackets
This week have the very popular 633 fit from Iron Heart in a newly developed 14oz denim with a black warp and black weft. The denim on this is one of the best black/black denim styles we've seen from any brand, it has a perfect hand feel and great character for a black/black denim.
We've also received Iron Heart's newest horsehide jacket. This model has been modified exclusively for our stores as we've had Iron Heart remove the side/rear zippered gussets for a cleaner look.

Masahiro Maruyama Spring 2020 Collection
This week we have four new eyewear releases from Masahiro Maruyama. With this new collection he plays with layering different shapes made of titanium under acetate to bring a new level of depth to his eyewear. All four are made of Japanese acetate and titanium and come with tinted Carl Zeiss lenses, with each frame's lens color matching the frame to the designer's specifications. As always, these lenses can be swapped out for prescription lenses by any optician.
All four of these frames are quite unique and the attention to detail in both design and material finish is top notch, truly he's pushing the boundaries of eyewear design and manufacturing.
Along with these four new models we've received new runs of three of his best sellers which we sold out of during the first production run.

This week we've got releases from Buzz Rickson, Sugar Cane, and Iron Heart.
From Iron Heart we've received their 633 straight tapered fit in their flagship 21oz denim and also their newer 14oz indigo denim. If you’re looking for a perfect fitting pair of jeans in a denim that’s not only comfortable but also ages nicely, these are it.
We sold through the Buzz Rickson x William Gibson black watch caps faster than ever this winter season so Toyo has done a run of 300 of them just for our stores. These are the best black wool watch cap you can buy. A perfect fit and feel with no exterior branding.
Also from Buzz Rickson we've received new runs of their flatlock seam crewneck sweaters in gray and oatmeal and also a new run of Sugar Cane's vat-dyed chambray shirts.

Depending on the fabric or production run we change it up so we can offer a selection of jeans with arcuates, without arcuates, and also with tonal arcuates. Something for every arcuate preference!

What I meant to say was, some of your IHxSE jeans have the standard IH arcs and then there's the ones that don't. What was the purpose of having slightly different arcs on say, the 633 21 oz, versus the 633 14oz?

We honestly just mix it up depending on the denim, weight, fit, etc.. we look at the design and details of a jean as an entire package, and depending on the direction we're going in we may keep the original IH arcuates, or do tweaked ones, or do tonal ones, etc…
