Great reply Foxy :). I did check the grinder out, they look like the bespoke grinder for light use. Couple with the statement 'occasionally uses' was enough for me to assume as such.
I'm still down with the Ceramic Burr grinders, that said @JCar2666 did blow my mind a while ago and I'm open to steel.
I grind around 21-22gms a go. I grind @ Medium Coarse (http://ineedcoffee.com/coffee-grind-chart/), and don't mind a bit of arm work. I expect to spend 1-1.5mins grinding of a morning, but like to walk around the house doing so.

Genuine question, and I am honestly not trying to be provocative here, what difference does the quality/ price/ style of the coffee mug make? Is it just a collectors thing or is it just a "that's a nice mug" thing? Am I missing something?

imo if you buy "normal" mugs from ikea or similar places, i have to say that they do the job pretty well. the only thing i don't like about "normal" mugs is that they're too light for my liking.
i enjoy drinking coffee out of a heavy and thick mug…and even though it sounds/is stupid as hell, the coffee somehow tastes way better out of such a thick mug
also i like different styles/prints on my mugs...for me it isn't a price-thing or "checkout my expensive mug from japan etc." ... -

That was actually the motivation to the question, the RMC mugs look great but £25…..it is just a mug....but it's a really nice mug.

Snowy, it's nothing special at all. A breville that I bought a couple years back when I didn't consider things as much. But it sticks around as it is fairly easy to clean, gives a fairly consistent grind and isn't plagued by static buildup like many other lowish priced electrics.

I have a Barazta that I like, a conical electric burr grinder, but it has stainless and not ceramic burrs.

Okay gents, on the RMC mugs, from the Coffee thread…....
So I picked up a Real McCoy's mug, it's nice/good, but it's not The Real McCoy in this case. Comparing against a Four Barrel (SF Coffee ~3 blocks from SelfEdge - Kiya's Fav
) the construction is totally different. The Four Barrel mug is the style of mug I got in most good coffee shops state-side, even some good diners.
A quick Rakuten search and I found the Navy version for $25
