Ok, so I know that we're still enjoying relatively warm (hot?) weather here in the UK, but I'm conscious that'll be over all too soon, so I'm planning ahead and thinking about a warm winter jacket, and, in particular, this deck jacket - couldn't make my mind up on the original release, and missed out on last years, so super keen to not miss out this year

G, any indication when these will be available, and will they be the same colour ways as last year,i.e olive and black? Also, is there a chance that they be paraffin coated this time?

Any thoughts on whipcord versus grosgrain for deck jackets in terms of insulating, wind and water resistance?

I think that the term grosgrain as applied to a deck jacket is incorrect.  Grosgrain has ridges that run perpendicular to the warp.  All the deck jackets I have seen have the ridges running at a steep angle, but generally in the direction of the warp (i.e. whipcord)….

Interesting; mccoys seem to run vertically instead of at an angle but I suppose they could have reoriented the fabric to achieve that.

I like that Haraki removed the draw cord.
