Watches - another OCD problem

@RobeOfTheMagi wrong thread but since you mentioned Seiko, I love my Seiko Laurel Alpinist! But the latest releases are also not sparking too much excitement for me

The best looking two-tone Rolex imhoEdit: or is that all gold? I can’t tell from the picture lol

@northsouthdenimguy the latter.

My statement stands minus the two tone part

Overall, I like the idea of an all gold watch. I’ve been looking at them for years, but I just don’t think I’d wear one enough on the bracelet. A black NATO kind of tones it down and makes it a lot more wearable to me. I’d love to find either a 1680 nipple dial or an ‘80s to early ‘90s 16618. I’d even buy a head-only if the price made sense, but every time I look, the difference between a head-only and a complete watch just isn’t enough. At that point, I’d rather have the bracelet too.
The other thing that gives me pause is all the Franken watches out there. I’m pretty hesitant to drop $25k+- on one unless it has really solid provenance or is coming from a dealer I trust.
