Had a few ricotta filled paczki for Paczki Day (aka Fat Tuesday in places outside of Michigan…).  So delicious

We call it "Mardi Gras" where I'm from. I wondered what all this packzi talk was from my Michigander friends

Packzi are basically a denser polish version of donuts cooked with a whole bunch more lard.  Got an Italian Deli just around corner from me that churns out what are regarded as some of the best in the state.

Thank goodness they're only available for a bout a week out of the year…

Yesterday they accidentally brought me a lobster Cobb salad. Or as I like to call it, a Cobbster salad. Really good. Saved $17 because of this mistake.

Then that night I had a pork belly "sandwich" of Arctic char "bread" with mushrooms and a purée over some greens. This was a transcendent dish.

            Think it, be it.

That sensationalist headline is entirely false and doesn't represent the study's findings. The study is extremely suspect as well if you read it.

And it also says that consuming meat and dairy was good for seniors, so it doesn't support veganism or vegetarianism even if you accept the study.

That's not a fact at all. There are reasons to choose a vegetarian or vegan lifestyle but health isn't one of them.

Up until a couple of decades ago, smoking was considered harmless as well… Trust me: time will tell...

In the meantime: if you're ok with eating animals that have feelings and are intelligent (which has been proven, of course), then by all means choose thàt lifestyle...

Typical animal eater.  I feel bad for you.  No, wait I don't feel bad cause I don't eat animals.  I pity your reality.

Seul, time has already told. We have a lot of clinical evidence that eating things like humanely raised, grassfed cattle and wild caught salmon is good for you. I have read extensively on this research and know what I'm talking about.

There's nothing wrong with being vegatarian or vegan, but there is something wrong with making unsupported claims and using junk science to support your lifestyle.

There's also something wrong with the way Adam chooses to proselytize and judge others who don't share his values.

The way I see it mate, is that we can live (at least) as healthily not eating meat… It might take a bit more effort, but it's entirely possible...

The last I'll say on the topic is that I don't believe that's true. There's a lot of epidemiological evidence that animal proteins/fats/cholesterol play an important role in the health of our nervous system among others. People with low serum cholesterol, for example, have been shown to have less intelligence as they age, physical shrinkage of the brain, and are more susceptible to diseases like dementia and Parkinson's.

From a health perspective inflammatory foods are the ones to be avoided.

From an ethical perspective, I can respect, but disagree, with vegetarians and vegans. And I can do so with civility.

Obviously civil disagreement isn't something you're capable of. Disappointing. Nice to animals but haven't figured the human thing out eh?
