    Haraki gets Rad.

I'm thinking 21oz color jeans like this for next spring.
by this way of dying, the color will fade out while wearing.

What do you think (we love them)…..

      Giles,

I think it's a great idea! However, IMO, these shoudn't fade because I think white areas on a baby blue jeans e.g. look ugly. I have the same problem with my chinos (I know different fabric) and it pisses me off. OTOH, I don't know if it's possible to dye them permanently. What do ou guys think about them having fading properties?

I can see these having great appeal to the younger crowd (Urb and Finn), and ladies too. I also agree that I don't think a fade would look good on these.

          hahahahahaha.

The grey ones look cool though.

              fixed and backed 😉
not so sure what I should think of that red and blue though…somehow I think this is getting a bit too close to "fashion" imo and make me think about the last chat we had in the viberg thread, Brett want to design clothes and all!... :-\

I'm on the fence until I can see how they fade.  But I will most likely pass… I'm too old for that stuff.

I can see these colour ways working better as shirt-jackets in a lighter weight of denim. Red trousers would be either too youthful or too Ralph Lauren.

The greys are definitely great.  Not to compare but Levis has something similar…they call em the commuter line

My vote is: I wouldn't buy them.
By all means, if there is a profit to be made, grab the opportunity. But I know I'm not the target group and the mental image I have of Iron Heart has not much in common with the image Giles posted.

^Exactly my thoughts. But I could imagine them selling very well in the asian market, as I feel like the average IH fan is much younger over there.

First off, if your gonna do them, I wouldn't use 21oz. I know you guys all say it's not that hot (I see u Chris), but it is. 21oz is the last thing on my mind in the Spring/Summer.  No, I wouldn't buy these, I agree with SugarMountain, it's too RL. Do bikers in Japan wear colored jeans?  I hope fucking not.

I like the grey ones, but not the pastels, thats a whole different ball of wax

                                  And yes, lighter, maybe 18oz

Well, as a designer, one is free to push the boundaries and explore new things.  Don't know if the colour (as in the red or teal in pants…) would jive well with the brand and or with the image it was built on.  Perhaps a sister brand?

The only question that needs to be asked is, Would Haraki-San wear them? If not, why is he making them? If so, then go for it!
