How hard would it be to replace the copper snap with a sewn on button like the IH-730? also is the fabric too thick to do a traditional trouser cuffed hem on them?

On the snap - relativley hard, as there would be a hole on the side you'd need to sew the button to from the snap hardware. You'd need to patch the fabric, then sew a button. On the outside you'd need to use the snap hope to make a button hole, and make it look good, which would also be hard. May be possible, but not in the wheelhouse of our crew.

For the hem, @JoshC or @Lynne will let you know later on this morning when they get to work

@Alex @Appfaff @JoshC I think the weight would be fine but the trouser leg length may not. It would depend on your leg length, any taper in the trousers and your desired cuff height (by traditional cuff you’re meaning a full height cuff that’s doubled over?) If you let us know that and your waist, we can look at a pair and advise.

Thank you @Lynne ! My true waist is a 32.5" and I would do a 30.5" total inseam with the cuff. I get what you mean about the taper interfering once cuffed over.

@Alex Cheers Alex, I figured as much, but was curious! I appreciate the honest answer! Is there a snap replacement that might be a bit more smooth? Just worried if I wear with a blazer, the snap might cause some abrasion.

The smoother options are the smaller, but possibly more proud, black and white heavy duty snaps. I’m not sure that it would look very good on there given how small they are. They also maybe more noticeable when you sit down.

I also don’t think you’re likely to damage your blazer - you’d probably need to sit on the tails and then move around for any wear to show, and at that point your body weight is more likely to cause damage to the blazer (ripping) than the snap I feel

@Appfaff ok - going by your measurements, I would think a 1.5” cuff would look in proportion for your size. That would make a cut line of 34.5” which, without looking at an actual pair, should be doable.

Traditional cuffs are 1.75” (which may be possible too) and if you want a bold look then 2” (doubt we’d have enough fabric in the leg to do this.)

If you want to place an order and add a note to say we’ve spoken about this in the forum and whether you want a slim or deep cuff. Then the customer service team will pick out the nearest pair to your desired waist measurement and the longest leg.
I can then look at them and advise exactly what size traditional cuff you’d get before we cut them. We’d send you a picture of it roughly folded so you can see the overall appearance and you can decide then.
