Firstly, I've never had this happen on any jeans I've owned, second, I'm pretty sure it's an easy repair I've changed patches myself on lower weight jeans.

It looks fine in the first pic, just a loose thread? Have you been pulling on it or something?

Actually the first picture is on a different pair of IH denim , also brand new . I see that coming loose as well.
The 3rd picture and on are from the pair in question and I have not been pulling on the tag or anything . It’s basically a brand new pair of of the 21oz that I bought like 3 weeks ago.
I’m wondering if this is a problem with the items made for the colab with Self Edge . These pairs are both the exclusive 633 in 21 and 25 oz that is only sold at S.E

@Kasi thank you, I was able to use my leather tools and thread to reattach it with much stronger thread. Agreed, it is an easy fix but one that shouldn’t have to be done on this brand of denim and definitely not so soon after purchasing them. This will not stop me from buying IH in the future but I will definitely pay more attention to tags and other areas more closely, moving forward .

Haven't had any issues with patches, but I will say I've never had as many buttons come loose & need restitching on a shirt as I have on my IH 68 wabash.

...Though that particular model of shirt was retired owing to button-related issues, as I understand it.

                    Sorry.

We sell about 30,000 pairs of jeans a year and is the second time I have seen this happen. It's a bummer and I am very sorry, but occasionally stuff sneaks through QC, it's a pain but we employ human beings who occasionally make mistakes. If they of the seamstress saw this, they would be mortified. The stitching on the patch in the first pic you post is not faulty, it is where the stitch has been back stitched at the end of the patch. If you don't like that thread sticking up, either cut it off or burn it with a lighter.

All our jeans are made to the same standards, in the same workshops (there is only one work shop we use for anything over 18oz), we do not dumb down for collabs.

I had to sew on 100 patches once. No machine, just got on with it.....

Well, definitely not to register here without even introducing oneself just to complain about minor issues that could have been easily handled just by getting in contact with the guys who sold the jeans or IHUK.

Yes you brought up a valid point about your patch and yes a forum is a proper place to discuss it. Also, a quick note to the shop is a valid approach.

                                    All are correct…
