Heath and I are trying to get out to play more now that the weather is warming up. We've been in gear acquisition mode, which some might argue is even more fun than actually playing the game.

Dude we gotta play together now that the pollen seems to be settling down. Let's discuss denim and leather, and how to combine them into a golf outfit for the summer.

@goosehd those are really cool. I think my already limited distance wouldn’t love em though. And putter is on my list too. I’ve always used a blade but will probably switch to a mallet this year if I find one I like

@SKT my thought as well and the reason I haven't pulled the trigger...yet

I used my dad's persimmon head driver when I first started. An absolute you're either on or off club that when you hit it well, the feedback was like nothing else I have ever swung. I miss that driver, but 90% of the time couldn't hit it well. The new modern drivers are so much better in that regard, but I just don't love the feel. The persimmon is hands down better in that aspect.

@Sage954 ahhh those are nice. My first real set of wedges were 588’s. I really only need a sand and lob…kind of wish they were offering them solo as well as set. Thanks for the heads up

The photos can’t give this place justice. It’s been carved out into the sand dunes at my most local coastal town. Today’s environmental laws would absolutely not allow this as a new project to go ahead.

I am in at the deep end as well, starting properly this year after a couple of sim bay lessons late last year. Not many pics, my phone is usually in my bag. @AdamC @AdamJ and I are getting in a few 9s at Gosport Stokes Bay Golf Club, and I have Wanstead 15mins from home that I play at with local mates too

@bryaneidins70 My in laws go to functions at the club semi-regularly and they said how nice it is there. Couldnt believe the cost to join when I was looking. Portsmouth Golf Club in Crookhorn is a walk from my house and I think probably a little easier of a course which is needed at the moment

Back at golf again today.
Thought I’d push the Country Clubs strict “no jeans” policy and wear my 634 ducks. Turns out that they must consider them to be pants instead and never said a word. So, looks like I don’t new pants after all.
Yet another course with kangaroo’s all over the place.
18 holes with 5 bogeys and 1 on par.
