Making a sample costs about three times as much as it does to make one unit of a production run [emoji15]

Is there any black x beige denim left?

I don’t think they’d weave another batch just for a jacket. I assume the plan was to use the remainder from the 634’s on the jacket so I guess there is a roll or two lying around. A certain retailer was considering a special collab jacket amade out of the stuff at one point, but it didn’t happen as the minimums involved (60 items I think) were too high. This also suggests there is a bit left over.

Utterly brilliant denim and it’s strange to the point of ridiculous that the IH-634S-21BLK have been slow sellers. I’d seriously consider buying anything made out of it, regardless of what it was.

We'll likely auction the sample off soon, if we get as much interest in that as we got from retailers, someone will get a real steal

what size was the sample? This was my most anticipated item of the year, lol. Can i just pay to get a sample made? Also, i could've sworn Kiya had told me SE was getting a black type I from IH this fall, assumed this was it.

A bit too big for me from memory. We don't do one-offs I am afraid.

Yes, lots, I made enough for about 400 pairs of jeans, the IH-634S-21BLK sold like crap, so I'm looking like a prat for getting H to make it. So I have been thinking of things to make with it. The Type I was one idea, but that panned, so it's back to the drawing board….

I dunno if it actually equates to sales but I always think black denim works better with slimmer cuts. Maybe the 555 or 777 would sell more of the black x beige

Newer more modern cuts may well be the way to go. I know they are more of a slow and steady seller rather than a hot ticket item, but 526V’s seem to be having a moment. This denim would be so good as a jacket/vest.

Could be that work shirt CPO that's been floating around? It's be interesting to see a shirt in that weight of denim.

You beat me to it with the CPO idea. Since it’s already black,overdye a sample of something Indigo,which might be really cool,or ugly AF.

I’ve been waiting for a 666 cut in this denim. I’d just as happily take a 777. Tonal stitching, of course.
