In the wild: Animals edition

We saw several of these snakes during the bike ride around the Utah mountains. Haven’t yet had a chance to look up which species it is. Was between 2 and 3 feet long. I’d assume it wasn’t poisonous from the shape of the head, but not sure.

@motojobobo there are many things I dislike about the move to AI…this does save many hours digging through different guides. Although I still enjoy that on occasion. I have a few guides that I work through on occasion

A pair of quail have been shepherding a huge brood of chicks around my property for a couple of weeks now. This pic only shows half of them. The rest had already walked by before I could grab my phone.
