@Luijim78
thanks, did you get a pair ?
-
@Daniel-San yes my friend I will get a pair of brown ones, every time I see them I like them more and more, I resisted a bit by procrastinating but I don't think I can resist much longer
-
@Luijim78
awesome mate , very happy for you!!
great choice ! the brown leather is stunning
hope you share some pics when you get them ? -
@Daniel-San sure my friend as soon as I get a pair I'll take some pictures, the black pair is in rotation with the Role Club and the Wesco but I really need a brown pair
-
@Luijim78
Size 9 available at Eastwestapparel
of thatโs your size , hurry up ! -
@Daniel-San amazing boots and amazing pictures!! Love the comparison between the two colors. Saw some pictures of really worn ones and the way they look with wear is also very cool !!
-
@FlavourFade
wearing them with my 555 today .
It definitely works !
but the shaft is a little visible , but less than the brown ones which are around 1cm wider at the shaft.
Guess it will be even less visible when the shaft moulds and collapses a little.
here 2 fast pics at work
-
Thanks a lot for the pictures!! Looks fine to me. I think that I need some biltbucks really bad. Good that with summer coming I will not think about boots too much
-
@FlavourFade
restock is around Novemberat least thatโs the plan as I heard from Jamie @EastWest
-
first two days in, almost forgot how bad ass they are
my feet and especially my achilles tendons are hurting like hell ๐ฅด
need a day off tomorrow to recover
but really interesting is that the leather seems to roll and creases much faster and more intense compared to my brown ones .
They will look awesome -
@Daniel-San will keep an eye out for them
hope your breakin will proceed with less pain after a good recover!!
-
@FlavourFade I really like my pair of Skoob boots, Iโve had them a year and thereโs just a hint of tea core showing here and there, I think they age slower than Attractions.
-
@NickD thanks a lot!
-
Iโve had a pair for a little under a year now and my foot prefers the 444 Attractions last over the lofgren engineer last in how it is snug through the arch/midsection then opens up to accommodate a wider toe box BUT the horsehide, albeit gorgeous, sure is stiff -specifically throughout the shaft. The Lofgrens feel like boots socks in comparison with similar amount of wear. Iโve got some creases forming now (RIP my shins and calfโs from the first couple months) and do like the additional structure of this hide to the shinki but was hoping for some of the rolls seen on the JLs down the road. For those whoโve owned their 444s for a while or have properly tamed the hide, does this leather soften up any like? specifically, have you gotten any folds/rolls along the shaft?

@flannel-slut
my brown ones are my most worn engineers at the moment , and Iโve worn them a lot. the leather is still kind of stiff but moulded to fit my feet perfectly. Itโs great to wear them and yes they got really comfortable with wear. I absolutely love the last , and maybe itโs even my favorite last and I have quite a few other boots to compare
Now that I have the black ones too , I would say the brown leather is even tougher than the black . First days in the black ones were hard but the brown ones were worse when I remember it correctly.
took a few quick pics, not the best sorry
-
Thanks for sharing @Daniel-San! Yours are definitely showing more folds than mine, particularly from the side profile
-
@flannel-slut
maybe because I have the straps fully tightened on the last hole. -
Whenever I see pictures of these boots I always wonder if they are made in the same factory as Skoob, they really do look similar.
-
@NickD
they are not made in the same factory as far as I know. And the last and shape is pretty different. the heel of the skoob is lower and the toe box is more "bulky" ( like the Y2engineers)
the last of the 444 is a little more sleek.
both awesome boots for sure444

I can see what you mean side by side, especially the toe shape in profile and I donโt think the Skoobs tea core as fast.
I wondered about the factory as I read that Skoob do or did make shoes/boots for other companies.
