Catch of the day [Fishing]
-
Thanks G. That’s a nice fish there. I can’t wait for you to get your kayak.
-
@Giles what's the action on that lure? I see no lip so it doesn't dive, it is a sinking erratic swimmer with an open mouth that leaves a trail of bubbles as you reel?
if you have a link to it i'd like to look into it.

A Patchinko - An absolute killer in our waters….
A bubbly walk-the-dog.....
-
I use a similar "walk the dog" lure called a Spook. It works best on calm water in the early morning and evening for bass, and in the middle of the day on choppy waters for Northern.
I'll add a Patchinko to my arsenal and see what i can catch

Nice fish! Is that a shimano stradic?
-
Thanks. I have an old stradic 1000 for Freshwater that is solid as a rock. Smooth and pretty bulletproof. I abuse it TBH. You’re gonna love that 4000.
Just picked this up for kayak trolling for striped bass. It’s a Avet SX G2
-
That’s awesome. I’m sure you have a “few”
I just installed this in the yak. I’m awful laissez faire about drilling holes in my boat.

Nice " Fatty " there –-
Kayak coming anytime soon ? -
I've cancelled the Kayak. My mate Rob who I normally fish with was going to get one too. His girlfriend just found out she was pregnant, so Rob has other things to spend his money on (cots, prams etc, poor sod), so his Kayak is on hold. I dont want to start Kayaking solo, so I have delayed buying the Kayak (got a full refund as it had not shipped). I am sure it'll happen, just not as soon as I thought.
Anyone need a top of the range fish-finder
?
-
Ah ok. Life can change in an instant. Glad to hear you got a full refund. I think congratulations are in order for Rob and his girlfriend.
Can't say I need a rangefinder at the moment, but good luck on finding a buyer.
