      @Ikeaparty so an egg imitation?
      Nice work man. Looks like a great time. Was it a one day float trip or multiple?

      Edit: see it was a quick after work mission. So sick you have that kind of access to water like that close to home.

      In the easy chair with my boots on, melted whiskey in my hand. Could'na been asleep for more than three hours...time to go to work again...

        @Mizmazzle yeah, new to fishing so not super familiar with the terms haha but it was 20g float with about 2 feet of space down to the weight, 14g weight and then 3 feet of leader with a 10mm bead (the exact color below) and a size 0 barbless hook. I dont have a baitcasting setup yet so was just using a spinner setup and trying to give enough slack to float down the river

        Friend also got a nice Coho on the same setup (aside from having baitcaster setup) except 8mm bead same color

            @Mizmazzle really cool the spot we were at was like, 25 minutes from downtown Vancouver? Just drive across the bridge, park on the side of the road and walk down to the water, we had our waders but didnt even need them at this spot just stood on the rocks on the shore

                    Heyo, new to this thread. I’ve been fly fishing in Oregon for a few years now. It’s been mostly trout, but I’m trying to break into some rock fishing and migratory species.

                    Last tie:
                    Since the run a good fish on pink squirrels has subsided, I’ve calmed down in my fly construction (not that there’s anything terribly complex going on there, but it could be simpler).

                    F-fly: (once I get some dyed feathers, I’ll probably tie up a rainbow).

                        @Mizmazzle thanks! The real test is always “now can I see them on the water…?” Which is why I’m happy to tie up the floaters in bright colors mostly.

                          Upgraded to a baitcaster yesterday, got a Shimano technium and a Daiwa tatula 200, everyone here uses a baitcasting setup for salmon float fishing.

                          Went to dog leg at Capilano River after work today and caught a Chinook jack that I took home, the white chinook has cool meat, trying to improve my fillet game now
