Good that I have no discernable dress code at work (except pyjamas would perhaps be frowned upon), so doing a triple denim today with IHSH-293-OD, IH-634-XHSib and IH-526L with Vibergs.

My dumb ass just realised how easy it is to emphasise denim fades by adjusting/editing photos, this is an extreme example of course...

Feel like cheating though, not that there's anything to be gained!

I'll be sticking to au naturelle in the future, but who's guilty of this?

@T4920 when I take shots in particular with dark denim and bad interior light (like my last ones) I increase brightness a little, and add a tiny HDR effect, such that black jeans show a little texture/structure and are not just black blobs... Nothing like cranking it up to max to pretend mad fades that are not real though

@T4920 LOL thats pretty extreme. I'm guilty of it but i usually call it out and i've shown multiple versions like that. sometimes what they eye sees in person is between my normal mode and my "studio mode", but i generally leave it unedited unless it's a dark shot and i need to add more light. It's especially hard to photograph dark denim that's been unwashed for months and has a sheen to it. Often the shine presents as weird fades. My 16oz SBG and 21ib are super 'shiny' right now.

@WhiskeySandwich shirt isn't OD, jeans are.. and they're still almost indistinguishable from the unedited photo haha..

@T4920 @Tobi I think sometimes the eyes see things the camera doesn’t and vice versa. A bit of adjustment to avoid black blobs and approximate to what you see is fine by me.

Also I didn’t expect the conversion to take the turn it did (but maybe I should’ve known better). September is going to be wild
