IHSH-409-IB - 19oz Selvedge Denim CPO Shirt - Indigo/Black

Ok, so I copped the well-sought-after Iron Heart IHSH-409-IB in a size Medium.
I have around 15 IH shirts — all Westerns/CPOs and all size Medium.
Funny (perhaps dumb) question: will the pit-to-pit stretch at all if I soak it and put it under some pressure?
Most measurements line up with my other shirts, but this one is noticeably tighter across the pits. It cuts into my armpit/pec a little and creates a slight balloon effect above the chest pockets.
Any chance of gaining a little width there, or am I dreaming? Will it loosen up…? Will it shrink? I know it says no, but my experience is they all shrink a tad.

@Adero I don’t think it will stretch much but material will soften.
For reference my XL arm hole measures 10”. My UHFs are 10.5” and other shirts range 10.5-11. So I think this one is a size smaller than most IH shirts. I’m gonna size up to XXL if I can find one. I know from experience I won’t wear something if it’s not comfortable right out of the box.

@Adero Looks great! What is your height and weight? I'm 6' and a half inch 160lb. Got my usual medium and it fits fine. Other than it needing to be broken in, i think it will be just fine. I'll post some pics tonight. Was planning on last night but then dinner got in the way.

I have 3 CPO jackets in XL. Got this in XXL and it pretty much fits like all my XL ones. Maybe a tick bigger. Glad I trusted the measurements. XL would have been a little too snug on this one.

Got mine too. Not a bad fit. The sleeves are pretty tight so there will be no layering, but I didn't intend to.

Hi there. I did think the pit to pit measurements was on the small side already before I ordered it. Though the next one up, Large was going to be too big and long in sleeves and body.
So I chanced it.
I don’t think it will stretch given the hefty 19oz. -

I am 5.7 (171cm) and 145lb (66 kg)
I have the CPO Overdyed IB already, and that is fitted and quite tight under the pits as well, but not as ”bad” as this, so I thought maybe this one just has to be soften up by wear.
I really want to keep this one but perhaps I should put my money on something that I can wear without hesitation. -
Think I saw these in stock at self edge Sunday. I was locked in/focused on pant selection. Picked up some chinos and pair of 633 21oz SBGs. Everyone’s pics got me FOMOing, and got the “denim itch” right now lol. I still have the SEXIH25-CPOOD waiting to break out(wore like half a day), but one can never have to many CPOs. May stop in tomorrow and check out if was in stock and my size still there.

@meatmarketdenim1 are you sure that Selfedge is stocking this CPO? I believe the stock list was updated and Selfedge did not stock them. There is nothing online either. Maybe I am remembering wrong and the stock list is incomplete. Either way, nothing a simple call to them could answer.

Sleeves are a whole inch or so longer than all of my other CPOS. But tighter just about everywhere else than all my other CPOs. Moving up to a S from XS it would have swallowed me so I’m glad I take the XS. Just odd sizing compared to other IH Tops. Sleeves fit more like some of my westerns that are size S. Doing the half role thing works. I am hopeful that once the fabric breaks in and the sleeve kind of crease and settle in they will be better. This has been my grail piece for a while as I’m a sucker for indigo/black especially with tonal stitching. Seems like everyone across the board has had similar sizing issues. None the less great CPO!

You could be right, I think remember seeing the untucked and maybe the 293 is what I saw quick. Maybe assumed had as well. I looked at the shirts quick when checking out. Maybe it’s good they don’t have it in stock, my wallet will be stoked. -

sad as it is but both L and XL are not working for me. -
