Found this beautiful buck moth on the road while walking with my wife and son. I put it on a nearby tree. I looked them up and read that the moths emerge this time of year to mate, lay eggs and die within a week.

@SKT oh yes trees have a profound impact on me. I have been enjoying identifying Hickory trees this year in my neighborhood.

Curious as to what the utility of that outrageous abdomen is…any idea @nurunuru ?
