Getting back into healthy painting habits. It has been years since I was painting consistently. I think I may finally have passed my painter's block.

Self Portrait WIP. I draw blind contour portraits from life/model observation. From there, I paint in values and skin tones.

@Oaktavia Fuck yes. love this post. So much of what we do is habit forming. Good or bad (need to break my being a mush on the couch during my free time and get back to productive habits) Congrats on flexing your painters muscle of late.

Not mine but the mother in law is quite a good artist
Mostly watercolour
One of them is of my nephew holding my son when he was still a prem baby
Frames are not to our complete taste but haven’t bothered changing them

I really love birds. We have three hummingbird feeders out back and frequently have them visit. Ruby throated hummingbirds are the only kind we have around here in WV and they sure are beautiful.
