Mrs E and I went to see an exhibition of Yayoi Kusama in Basel.

I’m not supposed to post this anywhere yet, but I know this forum is safe to do so. My main hobby is airbrush and custom paint.
I met a guy who races Bikes and he asked if I would paint a new Helmet he had for racing. It started life as a standard Black Shoei lid. The only brief I had was some colours he liked, so I used them for the design. I know there’s a bunch of Bikers here so thought I’d share some photos.

After finishing I felt like it was missing something. So went back in and added some flags. He’s a British guy so the Union Flag seemed like a no brainer. He’s also raced the Isle of Mann TT, so that was going to work too.


It would’ve been easier if I’d decided to put the flags in there at the start, but what ya gonna do.

You might know Klaus Voormann. He and Astrid Kirchherr were close friends of the Beatles in their early Hamburg years. Later, he designed the cover of 'Revolver' and also played bass with many people, including his good friend George Harrison.

Klaus Voormann is 87 years old today and still works as an artist. You can buy his signed prints here.

I've now bought this signed print. An interesting variation on the well-known Abbey Road motif, I think.

Some lifetimes ago I was in a dark patch and had an hard time finding myself out.
Art always helped me express and cope with big emotions.
And at that time I stumbled on an artist that inspired me to create! A safe place to collect my then chaotic mind.
Unfortunately I have forgot the name of her, but this was my take after being totally devoured by her art.
A mix of her and my own creativity. My wellbeing eventually changed for the better, and the need to finishing it faded.
But it still kind of represents a part of my journey to where I am today. Finished or unfinished… I’ve come to terms that some things just needs to be left the way they are️

Spent the day at Crystal Bridges yesterday…they have an “America at 250” exhibit right now. I thought it was tasteful but bittersweet

A little out of the ordinary but I thought these envelopes my Grandpa illustrated while in service in the 40’s were especially beautiful. I recently tattooed some of this script on my arm as a tribute to him. Great guy ️

None of the people or addresses exist anymore outside of the military base.
