IHJ-122-IND - 14oz Broken Twill Selvedge Denim Work Jacket - Indigo
-
Received mine this past Friday, and I echo everyone's positive sentiments; it's really a cool jacket that has some of the Type III DNA, yet is also its own creature. I love the double zipper; totally comes in handy when I'm in the car. I also really like the material this jacket is made out of; I swear on my walk with the dog this morning, I was looking at the different areas that are starting to get creases and could see flecks of different twill fades. Yeah, I'm in the honeymoon phase, but this is one I'm looking forward to wearing (and fading) for a long time!!
-
@sabergirl , no it's the indigo. Looks a bit darker in the pics.
-
Mine arrived yesterday and I love it. Nailed it with the XXXL. I am 6.1 and 95kg and fits great with a T-shirt or even thick shirt underneath.
-
@Northman Burg & Schild had the od variant
-
@FlavourFade I got the OD variant on a clothes hanger at home. It's so good I thought I'd see if there are any Indigos in Europe but looks like not.
-
@Northman yeah I see... I regret a bit not grabbing one but on the other hand IH brings out amazing stuff all the time so there's gonna be something else to grab
-
@FlavourFade Good point. You just talked some sense in to me so thanks. Anyway I hope it is obvious that the broken twill jacket was a success.

This is the perfect yin to the 19oz 526lod yang. Light and easy to wear.

Howdy folks, this is my first IH jacket and really first heritage jacket. I went for it for lots of reasons namely the zipper. Sometimes it really sucks being tall and thin but IH does a good job.
Wondering if I should try to size down to Lg? I have an XL here bc of my broad shoulders. As seen, it fits well but not “fitted”. Looks great with a flannel and can fit a hoodie snugly
I’m also curious if hot washing/dry might assist to snug it up a touch. No idea how these things drape and break in over time!
6’2” 170lb
19” shoulders
39-40 chest
Thanks folks

@deathbydenim tbh I think that fit is pretty good, doesn't look baggy with a tee but you can layer if needed. The fabric should mold to your body, shoulders drape better when you wear the jacket a bit and the sleeves will crease and shorten a bit with that. Normal washes should not result in shrinking but here are folks who shrinked there shirts with super hot washes, for me that never really worked. A size down could work too but I would look at the measurements very closely.

Thanks for the feedback!
-
@deathbydenim looks good. Comments on the shoulders and sleeves are spot on. I've got a few inches on you and went XXL so seems about right. Hoping my sleeves don't shorten much. 3X would've been tooo big.
-
This has very quickly become one of my favorite IH pieces, the lightweight denim is perfect for the shoulder season here, I like the length alot more than I thought initially, have worn it every day since it arrived
-
@deathbydenim It's a taste thing I guess but I would have wanted to at least try a smaller size. Arms, shoulders, and torso all seem to have plenty of space in that XL and the sleeves are fairly long. A smaller size may be a bit short though.

5 days straight. Started this am with an Aero but it warmed up this evening and reached for it yet again.

Luckily for everyone I did order an L from a local retailer and it got delivered today! I’ll be sure to share when I get the chance. The comparison will be interesting
