Hi all. Highly recommend this wonderful German wine. It is semi-sweet and low alcohol. You drink it like a compote. Who lives in Europe can buy this wine on the Internet with delivery.

@Walery-Smirnoff Food looks great, is this traditional Russian food?

It was New Year's Eve. And so the usual traditional Russian food is similar to German. And young people eat fast food like Americans.

Too many wines to mention but always been partial to a nice Spanish red. Garnacha is the choice for tonight while I get all excited about my visit to Rivet and Hide in Manchester tomorrow to try on some denim jackets!

My local Majestic is halfway between my barber and my usual parking place (which is potentially dangerous). I probably buy this more than anything else - better than average for a Barbera and very food friendly.

I just got back from my honeymoon in New Zealand and absolutely fell in love with Cloudy Bay Sauvignon Blanc. Stocked up at TotalWine with 10 bottles. It's just perfection. Highly recommend.

@ROman both were excellent. This is the recipe, I think you'd enjoy it: https://www.greatbritishchefs.com/recipes/venison-tomato-rosemary-ragu-recipe

Ignore the cook time on the meat, I think it needs 2x as long on the low heat, then another 30-45 in the oven before the tomatoes go in, and I serve with mashed potatoes and veg, not polenta.

And to get back on topic, i think Ridge is my favourite 'treat' wine that I have had from the USA. This was my third, and I have loved them all. More than I would normally spend on a bottle to drink at home, but worth it when you feel like splashing out

I’m not a wine guy by any stretch, however I do love a nice glass of wine. We stocked up on a case when we went to Italy and my wife has quite a few bottles from Argentina she brought back from a trip. We pulled out a few bottles from our collection for a Friday evening wind down…

                                        Eeny, meeny, miny….
