OK thx @Alex @AdamJ thought that. I really like the colour and the liner of the new one but that's the reason why I will stick to my IHM-34-ODG think I prefer having lined sleeves

After mulling over for a few weeks I just pulled the trigger on this coat. I've got the other M51 IHM-34 and I love it! Couldn't resist this one because of the removable liner. Having the lighter outer will be great for warmer temps, and I just really love the look of the liner.

Hello friends, how is the fit on this coat? Does it correspond to other IH item types?

I don't have any cold-climate IH jackets yet, only shirts and an unlined Modified Type 3 jacket. In those I'm size L, so trying to figure out what size I might be for this coat.

I bought this coat in black online yesterday and should receive it in a few days. I am curious if there are any recommendations/suggestions for treating this coat to make it more waterproof without affecting the fabric in any negative way. I appreciate any insights. Thanks.

Will this jacket be made again? I really like the M51 (and M65) with a removable liner. Such a great classic jacket.

@jpvisual this was a seasonal release a few years back, so unlikely. Never say never though, so tagging @ShopatIronHeart for confirmation

@jpvisual what @Tago-Mago said really, more than likely we will do a M-51 again but whether it has a removable liner is the questions... but never say never we may revisit it and do some tweaks.

@JoshC an M51 or M65 is great with a removable liner because you get the option to wear it with a trucker jacket or thick CPO without the need to size up. Or you can put the liner back in if not. I like that I can do this with my M65, but it's not an Iron Heart Jacket and it's nowhere near Iron Heart quality.
