Wearing jeans MTBing is even worse–much worse--than wearing jeans skiing. Even if you're downhilling at a park with lifts. I shuddered when I read that
It's a no go wearing the XHS for MTB. I have learnt my lesson meeting with a nasty accident that would leave me without an ACL on my left knee.
May be I have to start doing some other physical activity, not just to fade the denim but to in fact get to do something.

I'm in it for Y3, but went with a different brand and a lighter weight denim.
I went with the matcha denim from Okayama Denim X SDA.
I have to admit, i do still admire the pair I wore for Y2. I still wear it once in a while and I LOVE how they turned out.
Here's to hoping that the judges will put more consideration into vintage fades. I had every hope of holding off on the first wash until the 6 month mark in Y2, but baby pee and poo ¯_(ツ)_/¯.

to leave them a bit longer was a good idea I think
I noticed a lot shrinking in length on my 634 slb after first wash .
30 degrees machine wash with 800 rpm max , soaked before they went into the machine. -

I’m pretty excited to see how these go. I had the 555N many years ago and had to move them on as the fit wasn’t great. The denim is lovely. The stubborn fades are slow to come but then boom… it starts pouring out. Should be a perfect pair for the contest, not least given how you wear jeans.

wear my pair very consistently , only on Sunday I wear what I want
no wash, no soak . a bit dusty but not dirty and no smell.
so far very pleased with my decision to take the 18oz. -
It is starting to get tougher with wearing the XHS. Was disassembling some furniture today with the XHS on. After a while it started to become unbearable. But I was determined not to get them off. I'm noticing that the XHSiB is picking up more dust compared to the XHS. May be the black weft's presence makes it more prone to dust.
