We give Pilgrim to the new owners on 31st March.  @Madame Buttonfly are off to Poole for the night tomorrow, We reckon it's about 5 hours each way.

                      After we pass The Needles….

We'll be 5 plus miles offshore for a while, so plenty of time to practise what we learned last week…

Fantastic and saves a lot of money 😁.

What about adding a thin line which helps to quickly open the shackle.

I am not at home at the moment, I'll take some photos when I get home, but my version is more complex than that one and increases the breaking strength massively.  If you look carefully, you will see that my loop has 2 legs", the one in the D-Splicer video, has just the one…The D-Splicer version is what I would call the "standard soft shackle and uses a diamond knot (which basically has 2 loose ends), my ends are buried.  Because I have 2 legs, it is really easy to open the shackle.

                            See vid here:

                              Your version is definitely improved!
                              Enjoy your trip!

I use this in the woods and without the thin line it wouldn’t function. Now I’ll think about a change, thanks G.  8).

Any towing shit breaks at some point, when mine fails, I'd rather have Dyneema bouncing off the Gelcoat and/or my family than steel…. 🙂 🙂
