@endo short stopover on the family roadtrip. We spend some days on Vancouver Island, then a 15h ferry cruise up the inland passage. Amazing scenery and some added whales for good measure. We are now en route on the Yellowhead Highway to the Rockies..

@tody was fantastic! We had some rain and low clouds .. but not unexpected now chilling out in a cabin in the Robson Valley

@Denman-John loved it! We had too little time though.. I underestimated the size and distances :).. so in the end we had only one full day in Tofino, and 2 days of driving ..

In Ontario, Quebec, and upper North East of the US, we are experiencing heavy smoke from wildfires which has turned the sky an awful yellowish colour:

It’s hard to capture and the smell is pretty bad as well.

There’s a pistachio tide in the harbor due to the heat here. So instead of just really hot it’s really hot and smells like rotten eggs.

I hope it's not too close to you @goosehd I've seen a friend online post pictures of the atmosphere all discoloured, very scary stuff

@Jord Thankfully it isn't...

It looks like the closest fire to me is about 700 km's away and the majority of them are 1000 km's away. Right now it looks like it's about 30 minutes before the sun sets outside.
