@Indigo-Alchemist Race was great but pretty exhausting due to the altitude. You need to run/walk up a mountain, back down again and than up another and some more
Hence the 35 obstacles were the least concern.
Temperatures were ok but the sun was blasting - especially on the last mountain.
We did the long course, which is officially 18km but in reality 21 🫠Hotel spa came in handy

It’s that day again - good to see an event in my town that gets bigger each year. There were definitely some flashier and I dare say more expensive exhibits for people who like that kind of thing, but this is a random selection that caught my eye.

@goosehd I lived over south of Traverse City in Good Harbour bay, you can't beat the magic and beauty of the great lakes or the amazing country up there! Haven't been back in 16 years or so but miss it dearly

@GoodtimeJohnny completely agree! Grew up in Virginia/West Virginia and often went to the Great Lakes as a kid during the summer. Fell in love with them and it’s funny how each one of them is different.
Superior is the coldest lake I remember and that was in August. Michigan had waves that you could surf. Huron has some beautifully clear water. Haven’t spent much time on Erie. Ontario is my love, but often think about Michigan and exploring as a kid…
Maybe it’s time for a road trip…

My favorite human took me to my favorite places.
Wanted to have a relaxed dinner with awesome food so got to go to the best wagyu restaurant on island & got the best cuts of wagyu. Was aslo happy to get a magnificent mixed sizzling bowl of garlic rice w/wagyu steak ,and almost got a couples massage. I’m extremely ticklish and wasted several chances for massages in countries such as the Philippines, Japan, Thailand bc of it so rejected the offer. Requested to go to the range instead. Won’t post any pics of that (but shotgun is on my IG).
