      He drops new lyrics on a track by Tommy McCook & Supersonics from 1968. This idea of using rocksteady instrumentals was pioneered by the great Bitty McLean 5 or so years ago and has been all the rage ever since.

              Maybe "prog" as in "progressive rock" combined with "fantastic"?

                    Speaking of progressive rock AAL an amazing instrumental band. Tesseract is also another band I love but they are similar to AAL more so than BOO.

                    …This is progressive death metal (I hate death and metal in the same sentence... turns so many people off).

                      I dig what Tesseract does, but I have to say that born of Osiris is quite unlistenable for me…

                            I'm jealous! I've read its got a full on 70s sound and no 'death metal'.

                            Slowing it down a little. I've had Yob's Atma on constant rotation for the last few weeks. Bit of a grower and probably not to everyone's taste, but I think it's…erm...Doom-errific  😉

                                          Blasted that'un this morning… New Nightbringer's decent as well.. That'un 's actually "new new"... NP 's been out for a couple of months... Sounds even better on vinyl of course...  🙂
