Speaking of progressive rock AAL an amazing instrumental band. Tesseract is also another band I love but they are similar to AAL more so than BOO.

…This is progressive death metal (I hate death and metal in the same sentence... turns so many people off).

I dig what Tesseract does, but I have to say that born of Osiris is quite unlistenable for me…

I'm jealous! I've read its got a full on 70s sound and no 'death metal'.

Slowing it down a little. I've had Yob's Atma on constant rotation for the last few weeks. Bit of a grower and probably not to everyone's taste, but I think it's…erm...Doom-errific

Steven Wilson (Porcupine Tree) must of had a huge influence on "Heritage"

He's produced a few albums of Opeth's.. (Blackwater Park, Deliverance, Damnation) So he's always been an influence.

I'm not sure if he produced Heritage.. Sounds like it though..
