Leather jackets

I need to get a brown leather jacket as well - I've only ever owned blacks (I har a natural colored suede jacket once, though, but that was a bit of a disaster).
I have a slightly obsessive thing about matching, leather though - I really prefer that my belt, my shoes/boots and my watch strap (if leather) are of the same color. I'm trying to convince myself that a black leather jacket can be worn with blown boots and belt, though, but I do find it difficult. What du you guys do? Match or say feck it?

Sometimes I match, sometimes I say feck it.

@TeflonDon this is not necessary, you can properly wear black boots + belt + brown jacket, this is very fine.
If you overthink your style, it’ll show, and you’ll end up achieving the exact opposite of looking stylish. That’s basically the whole idea behind the Italian concept of sprezzatura: looking effortlessly elegant and stylish, as if you haven’t tried at all.

@Neru-6 you’re absolutely right, of course. And I’m quite aware that I’m not entirely rational.
I’ll try to stick to matching the leather on belt, shoes and watch. And see if I can find a perfect brown (at least not black) leather jacket.

Freewheelers today. I love the fit of this.

Recently got this Double Helix western pioneer jacket in their gorgeous burgundy horsehide and I’m fully obsessed with it. These photos were the week I got it; I’ll have to get some updated shots now that it’s broken in a good bit. Worn with the overdyed 14oz 1955’s

Just wanted to share a little tribute to my first leather jacket and my most faded piece of anything.
This was a gift from my Mother in 2004 (15 years old) and was my only leather jacket up into my 30’s. It’s an officially licensed Misfits jacket that was produced by Red Balls USA. You don’t see these pop up too often and when you do they’re usually unworn.
As you can see, mine has been deeply loved and well worn. You couldn’t tell me shit as a teenager when I wore this jacket!
Some evo pics for your enjoyment…

@WithBongInHand dude! That jacket is so sick. The Misfits defined my life as a kid and still do to this day. Punk rock will always shape my outlook on the world. Looks like it’s the same for you. Thanks for sharing.
