Monday asked me in another thread whether Geo was going to be able to make it to the party.
Unfortunately, he is not able to come. He is simply too weak to travel.
Obviously, we are all very upset for all sorts of reasons.
It was Shiona who texted me the news and in typical Geo fashion, she said that he felt really bad that he had let us down.
Geo, if you read this. We are missing you and you are in are thoughts.
Be confortable, we love you.

Feel better Geo! I don't know you too well, but from what I have heard you have had a rough time mate… so hope you feel better and get better!

Guys and (beautiful - so cool how they all are on this forum) Gals
Thank you all so much for all your love and wishes and support
It has been said before but it's well worth repeating - this place truly is a family and a family that should be very proud of itself
I was very depressed at missing the party and at missing the chance to actually meet many of you in person . . . and getting drunk and making a complete tit of myself for your entertainment
As things have turned out my general physical condition (which to honest wasn't that great in the first place :P) has kinda gone downhill a bit and I'm afraid it's not a hill i'll get back up . . . but doesn't mean to say i won't keep bashing on for a little while yet
Strangely, there's a couple of aspects that have had very little effect on me despite the spread of the cancer:
1. My hair is gone . . . (don't think about that too long!)
2. Talking is very difficult . . . which has actually been the case since I met Shiona ::); Giles calls it auto-gabble
I'll log in whenever I get a burst of energy and my brain gets into gear, and try keep a certain eejit in line, but to be honest it's a bit pointless ever since madmonday overtook me in posting numbers stakes - i just can't keep up with that constant stream of blether . . .
See ya - and be good . . . and if you can't be good - be careful

Hello mate. Sorry to hear things are so difficult. I know only too well how energy sapping the small things become (my Mom has had two bouts of cancer and my brother-in-law's father has lung/brain cancer). I can only send you my best, heart-felt wishes and hope they help you stay positive albeit in a very miniscule way.
It really is odd. I have never met you in my life yet I really feel a connection has been made. Your articulate and thoughtful posts (and Monster truck addiction) definitely speak to me in some way. I hope you get well George. Sending you some man-hugs from France mon ami! -

always wise words from geo & yeah i'm pretty much full of sh!t & meaningless banter
good vibes & positive energy continue to go your way from all in the weekday household.

Geo, so wonderful to see you posting here, you were really missed last weekend. The party was terrible boring (not really
sorry) but there was for me a major part missing, without you being able to come. You can be sure that people have and had you in their hearts and think of you… may bend, won't break …
