Story time:
I had foot surgery in July. One of the catalysts for pursuing this surgery was that my Mister Lous became unbearable to wear. I first sought out custom boots about 16 years ago because I had mild discomfort on the top of my foot. That search led me to Wesco, and I happily ordered custom-fit boots for years that felt great. Fast forward to a few years ago when I ordered my first pair of off-the-shelf Mister Lous from IH, and they felt okay for a while, but the discomfort on the top of my foot became so bad that I had to stop wearing them about a year ago. I went to a podiatrist who diagnosed me with a type of bone spur on top of my right foot. It was probably slowly growing for decades, and in the beginning it was uncomfortable to wear certain footwear, but towards the end of my journey, it was painful most of the time because the bone spur was pushing against a nerve that runs on top of the foot. The surgery recovery was pretty brutal, but I got through it. A couple of weeks ago I tried on my Mister Lous and the right one hurt a little going on and I quickly realized my foot was too swollen to wear them and had to take them off. It was so painful getting it back off again. My podiatrist urged me to keep trying though. Well, a few days ago I tried again, and to my surprise, they were actually comfortable. I wore them all day, and wore them all day again yesterday. These boots have never been as comfortable as they are now, and I'm elated. Anyway, here's my brand new (to me, again) pair of Mister Lous!
