Buzz Rickson

Currently patiently awaiting the arrival of my BR X WG N1 (hook version sold by SE). I could have probably gone with a 42, but they only had a 44 left, and as it's going to be my main winter coat I'm going to need room for layering. Pics as soon as it arrives.

Could it be that Buzz Rickson's sizing is hardly consistent? As far as I can tell, I'd be an L in the M65 WG, an XL in the M-43 and XXL in the N1 WG…. The M65 is probably designed to allow for layering, but still... Maybe it's because they design every model to be as historical exact as possible? Probably every store on rakuten measures differently too. I look at measurements on rakuten and mostly compared shoulder width btw. But I'm no expert on sizing and such and probably won't buy a BR jacket anytime soon. Just wondering.
Great purchase, Megatron! Looking forward to those pics!

Deck jacket arrived, and I'm really really pleased with it. The quality is spot on, and I love the crinkle noise when I move, ha ha..

Nah, I dont hate either of you
It is a little on the large size, but the shitty pic/ angle isn't helping, trust me it aint that bad in the flesh. I bought it a bit big to layer up in deepest winter, with a thick hoody or flannel under it. Basically it's a function over form purchase this time, and at the sale price it worked out too good to miss as a replacement for my overly bulky Alpha N3B.
P.S
Pam is super stoked about the curry, guess what I'll be eating when we get home, ha ha.

Thats my thoughts too Seul hopefully, but it's 22 degrees here at the minute so just wearing the jacket on its own was uncomfortable, add a thick hoody and, well….
-
Hey Hectic, that I am, but I'm hoping it's gonna be too hot to wear the BR, ha ha. You want me to bring it along to compare anyway?
-
Anyone suggest a washing/cleaning method for an olive BR N1?
-
I have both and basically the new ones give a slightly slimmer/longer fit and are a tiny bit thinner/lighter.
If your tall and slim they will fit better - if your shorter and broader the old ones fit nicer.
personally i prefer the new fit.. they also have a slightly smaller neck opening than the old ones which i prefer.

incase anyone is interested, i have a brand new buzz peacoat in a size 40 for sale. i only just received it, never worn. beautiful quality, and very warm and heavy but i guess i just prefer my flight jackets.
i'd let it go for £650 delivered in the uk which is £50 cheaper than www.buzzricksons.com. as far as i know these are all sold out in this size too.
cheers
