Iron Heart Germany will also restock this -
Looking forward to picking up one of these next week. I love both my IH-634-S (21oz) and my 18oz vintage Stormrider jacket, so this should be good!
How does the amount of stretch (especially in the waist) of the 18oz Vintage denim compare to the 21oz. denim? Is is more or less the same (1 inch)? According to both product pages (IH-634S and IH-634S-18) it says 1 inch. But maybe someone has a direct comparison. Of course I will check the size chart, but I might be in between sizes (W35/W36).
-
@Jiboom the sizing information regarding stretch is from years of user feedback and personal observations. There is always a possibility that you can get a bit more than published with time and wear.
There are a few things you can do once the sizing charts are published:
- find the measurements closest to your tag size
- using those measurements, email the IHUK crew for sizing advice
- put a note in the comments when you check out a specific measurement you are looking for. Example is that tag 35 has a waist that is slightly smaller than your ideal and asking them if something a bit closer to your ideal measurement is available.
-
The time is drawing closer!!

The sizing chart can now be found in the first post. Here
Please be aware you may not be able to view the product’s website page leading up to launch, as it will be briefly offline whilst we prepare for the release at Tuesday 21st July at 1600 BST”

Were these made with a different pattern compared to the previous batch?
-
@V-P it should be the same pattern. @ShopatIronHeart Correct??
-
There seems to be a pretty big difference for sizes 32 and 33 at least, not sure about the other sizes though (since they’re usually not relevant to me,
). But I’m aware there are lots of factors affecting how they come out. -
The 634 pattern is the 634 pattern. It’s Iron Heart’s oldest. No fiddling with that.
Just the fact that the published measurements are based on an average of a few pairs from each size in each batch can skew things somewhat, with there being any actual real change. That’s before you get to the the variables that may actually affect dims.
-
@goosehd Compared to the previous batch (with measurements now replaced with the new batch measurements), at least sizes 32 and 33 seem to differ a bit regarding at least back rise and hem width (with the current measurements indicating a lower rise and slightly wider hem). I may be wrong, I checked the measurements a couple days ago so I may remember incorrectly.
-
@V-P and you have hit on a good point that needs reiterated: Always trust the measurements, always. It doesn't matter if the last pair of jeans you bought were tag size 33 from the last run as every run may be slightly different. The measurements are key to getting a pair of jeans that fit the way you want.
I have said many times that I have tag size 33, 34, 35, and 36 and they all fit about the same.

@goosehd Sorry if you get annoyed with me upvoting a lot of your comments, Goose. I've learned so much on the forum from the mod team in the few years I've been here, if you see me like your comments just imagine me nodding my head and agreeing

I love how much knowledge and valuable insight this place gives
edit: not just the mods, IHUK staff too, but you and tago really do a lot of work here and it's appreciated...
