Glad this is working out for you guys! Honestly I'm half thinking about ditching my Patagonia messenger bag of 15+ years for a tote with something like this instead.

Picked up my Tote Bag

For a while now, the wife has wanted a clip or hook or something to keep her keys inside the bag. We've looked at everything out there in the edc realm, ball chains, string loops, whatever, we probably considered it. I mocked up something using lots of random fishing gear and she said go. Took a few tries, the crimping under the rivet outside the bag was tricky. I added a slitted crimp to the inside of the bag to hold together each side and then whipped finished it with some fly tying gear as well.

Came out ok and she's happy.
