I was also quite impressed with my new light hiking/trail running shoes. Despite the fairly long distance, I had absolutely no issues—no pressure points or blisters, and it was only the second day I’d worn them. I wore merino toe socks; they were perfect.

@endo no, just hiked to Refugio like you. I would try it but my wife has no interest. Crazy you had clear day like that and then snowstorm. That’s the mountains for you.

Had a lovely day in the magnificent North German countryside. I went for a somewhat longer solo hike - starting from old [Schleswig]

Quilotoa crater and cloudy day on Chimborazo. 16,650 ft is highest I’ve hiked.
