How does the UHR denim feel compared to XHS? Is the UHR tough to wear? I have a 19oz left hand twill type iii jacket. I love it. Great denim as a jacket! Not sure if I would want the 19oz as jeans though...i think.

@jpvisual in my opinion the UHR is softer and cause its smaller in Oz it feels more pliable. I feel its a combination of tough, soft at times, hairy but nice. I definitely love it. The 25oz is a beast initially, tough and intimidating if you havent tried it before. But once you get over the initial hump, you get used to it. Im still breaking that in though....its still early days. Im currently working on both 😓 but am using the UHR as my daily and its been awesome....

UHR remains slightly crispy over the long term, whilst 25oz will feel like sweatpants at some point.

@cyclops thanks for the info. @goosehd stays crispy similar to the 19oz lefty fabric? I find that keeps it's crispy rigidity. Totally love that tough denim as a jacket. Jeans, not sure and never tried.

@jpvisual not exactly like the 19L but close. The 19L are unique in that aspect. The UHR softens, but never will be as soft as the 25’s.

@jpvisual. The 19L as pants will not feel as rigit as the jacket. Not even close. Yes is a tighter weave and its crispy when new but they soften up very nicely with a velvety feel and they fade with alot of character. I wouldn't discount them based on how the jacket feels.

@Phil_NYC just for my knowledge how much more softer do they change? Or does it stay relatively the same by the 10th month?

First month was brutal, like sandpaper and the waist band would dig into my waist / hips very painfully. They gradually improved until about month 6 and then it was like they gave up the fight and became sweatpants.

Did the thighs go back to the pre wash size or did they stay at the post wash measurement after wearing? I know the waist goes back, just wondering about the thighs, top block. The

@jpvisual for my pair every measurement except inseam returned to pre wash. My waist actually surpassed pre-wash.

When I washed them two days ago I did 2 soaks, the first with a teaspoon detergent and the second without.

Then I washed them on delicate, 40 degrees, 400 spin, with small amount of detergent.

To be absolutely sure I got every shrink I could I washed them one more time, same programming of the machine but without detergent.

After drip dry, to bone dry, my measurements were almost exact the same as the first post wash. The waist was about 5mm larger.

Super happy with those results, no marbling or streaks and they feel so much better when clean.

Edit. All but the first soak was inside out.
