      @jacoavlu:

      this was shot wide open with a Zeiss 50/1.5 Sonnar on Tri-X 400 pushed to about 1250 developed in Diafine

      I'm not sure if the Nikon mount Zeiss 50/1.4 is a Sonnar design or not
      the Sonnar are notorious for a nice 3D effect (at least on film) and smooth bokeh
      but also by a focus shift which can be annoying
      especially when shooting film when you can't see instantly your results

      this by contrast was a digital shot with a cheap plastic Nikon 50/1.8 on my cheap D40

      I like both

      Awesome shots! The 50/1.4 is a planar design afaik.

          Well. nothing new from me at this point… Tired of my faulty film cameras and looking into digital options, I don't shoot at all at the moment.... All I can do is post older images...

          But in general I don't want to post my whole back catalog, it's not that good anyway….... When I get a new cam, I'll add more around here...

                    Thanks holla….they both were shot with my Canon XTi at the time, first pic with a Canon 15mm FE/430ex, second with a Tamron 28-75/Natural light.

                    Monday....thanks dude.

                          Wow, just wow! I must say with the exception of the last one (a bit too bland for my taste - no offense), all of the others are amazing! Something straight out of a magazine.

                                Thanks all…....the pic with the Harpist, a lot of work was done to it, I'll try to find the original, but in the background pretty much surrounding her, there was a speaker on a tripod and wiring all over the place.....PS is your best friend, haha.

                                The last pic, I kind of went overboard with the Hue/Saturation, but still looks cool.

                                Some Fish pics (RIP to both):

                                  Agreed with PS is your best friend. I just learned that if you clone stamp one image and you still have it clone stamped and go to another image you can transfer that image.. Which is what I did today 🙂 Honestly PS is awesome.

That is just me though, if you have ever been to LI people act that way, trying to drive on LI is insane as well.
