@CosmoSix5 I have one Aero jacket. Welcome

Great jackets!
I've been on and off leather jacket searching for years. I had two different ones when I was a student. I managed to kill the first (the best) one of I a bicycle crash, the second one was heavier and a poorer fit and quality, inn the end it just wore out.
Then a few years ago, after realising selvedge denim was a thing, I decided I needed a leather jacket. I looked at IH, Indigoferra, Simmons Bilt and in the end I almost bought the IH 35 on a sale, but chickened out, as I was worried the cafe racer would be trying too hard for a man past 40, who dosen't own a motorbike.
And the I found a high street lambskin cafe racer on sale - and bought it.
The leather quality was obviously lousy, but it was extremely comfortable, versatile, and the cut worked. Happy days - until I got stuck on a nail, and tore (I said the leather was poor). I decided to have it fixed, and picked it up just I time to take it on my easter trip to Rome - only to tear it again on the same bloody nail.
So I decided to shop a new jacket in Rome (accepting it would be sheepskin again, but better quality), but simply didn't have the time and went home empty handed.
And now I'm here - looking at Aero Leathers. I like my jackets a little looser and a little longer than is the norm here and in the used market, so I'll likely go custom. At the moment I'm leaning towards an Aero Highwayman.
I'm pretty sure I want it in black. I love the colors og Cosmos and Twins jackets, and I do think that those kinds of brown are very versatile - but I've found that while I generally reach for brown shoes in the shop, the black ones tend to get more wear. And I think that as long as I only have one leather jacket black is the best choice. I'd like It to be tea-core, though, or have some sort of color play.
As for now I've ordered samples of five leathers from Aero. Vicenza Black and Blackened brown and CXFQHH, Badalassi and Pinnacle all in black. Im excited to see them - I will most likely go Vicenza or Pinnacle, as I think CXFQHH is too heavy and Badalassi too squeaky (but I need to see it, I really like Cosmos pictures in this thread), but it could all change.
I'll keep you posted - this is a long term project, but writing this is a good way for me to organize my thinking, so thanks to anyone reading this far. And I'm in the intelligence gathering phase, so any input is appreciated

@TeflonDon black is a great bet. I love the aero and wear it the most but my black master supply Daytona gets almost as much wear. Jet black. I tried selling it but glad it sat. For the 4-5 hundred dollar mark MS is great. Custom measurements included.

@TeflonDon My Aero jacket is a custom fit. The arms longer also the jacket made longer in the body. It is now about 30 years old.

@twin: Your jacket is a very good argument for going custom and buying something that’ll last the rest of my life. It is gorgeous.
@CosmoSix5: I hadn’t come across Master Supply. I’ll look into it - the prices are very attractive and it is great to have a reference on them, thanks!

Well that took an unexpected turn:
After a week of madly researching every Aero cut and leather I ended up ordering a reloved IHJ35 - Selfedge version. It just had better measurements than anything in the Aero stock, and was a lot cheaper than ordering a custom one.
I’m still very keen on Aero - especially their leathers - but after looking into their cuts I think one of their longer models is where I’d be happier. So that’ll eventually be a wool lined winter jacket (I’m already speccing it in my head).
