IH-527J - 21oz Denim Rider's Jacket - Indigo

How does this fabric compare to the 21s? It looks like this may have a white weft vs the unbleached of 21s. Does this get as soft and stretch as much as 21s? It's headed my way regardless, but I appreciate any input!

Hey @krebsy, here are a couple of side-by-side photos of a pair of 21oz jeans and the 527J. The feel of the jacket is very much the same as that of the jeans; I can't feel any difference. I would expect the jacket to soften with wear, similar to other 21oz indigo denim jackets and jeans, but you will probably not get a lot of stretch, nothing crazy. I certainly wouldn't expect it to stretch like the jeans; you do have the action bi-swing shoulders for added movability across the shoulders. The jacket is non-selvedge, so it will fade a bit slower than selvedge denim as the warp is treated differently, but you will get those fades with time. Let me know if you have any other questions

Hi @Vik, for this jacket, shoulder messsures specified in chart are taken from the inner or from de outer seam?

@goosehd most likely, but I'd like to confirm it since past month I bought this jacket in its black version. Really loved it and now I want it in IND, but for that model, meassures were taken from inner seams.

@efrainceballos44 Could you point me to where it states that it was measured from the inner seam? As far as I know that all of the staff measure as seen in the video at IHUK. There shouldn’t be different measurements as it’s part of the training.

@goosehd, It was kindly confirmed to me by one member of the staff during the size verification process after my purchase. I had precisely the same concern and the team helped me to check the measures. I think, since the jacket features bi swing plated shoulders, measurement can be a little more tricky.
Thanks for sharing with me the measure guide, I'll make sure to double check it before ordering next wednesday. Can't wait no more!

@efrainceballos44 I see where the confusion is now.

I have screen shot the image from the product page and drawn an arrow from where the jacket should be measured from and to. The seam on the sleeve would not be included in that measurement from my understanding. As it’s a bank holiday, the IHUK crew will be out of the office until Tuesday morning. I have sent a note to the on duty staff member for clarification. He should chime in when he’s back in tomorrow.
