IHJ-122-IND - 14oz Broken Twill Selvedge Denim Work Jacket - Indigo

@Jack appreciate the input. Happy you consider it boxy since that generally means better arm articulation for me.
-
@fadesandkicks please see the first post for the size chart
-
Super excited for this. Such a cool jacket!
-
@SamD Sam, I noticed that under the sizing chart that you wear a large, did you choose to size down on this jacket? I typically wear an M in iron heart, but the sizing chart has me leaning towards a small on this one. Cheers!
-
@ShopatIronHeart I'm a 40 in the IHSH-33 and a 42 in the IH-2526J. Would you recommend L or XL in this jacket?
-
@RobeOfTheMagi The IHSH-33 has been in production since 2013. With that said, it would be near impossible to say which version you have and what the measurements of your shirt are unless you measure it using the IH method. Please take a minute to measure your shirt and record those measurements.
Edit: I am including the link for you to watch on how to measure IH Shirts

I found the the measurements of my shirt and the jacket are pretty much identical (except for length) in size 40. However for a jacket it might make sense to go for the 42 then.
-
@RobeOfTheMagi try it and see. Sounds like a great plan.
-
So stoked for this one. Spent a lot of time trying to find a used one from the ‘23 release.
-
Nabbed an XL from Iron Heart Germany. Feels good to finally get “the one that got away”.

Got my order in

@SamD Your fades on this jacket are epic!! Wow. I'm trying to convince myself that I don't need another jacket, as I'm still working on my IH-526J-142ib as far as fades go, but this new model really looks unique. Question: Is this jacket at all similar the Kersey Work Jacket? For some reason, I was never able to bond with that model.
-
@Nostradamion Thanks! Yes, it’s one of the more unique jackets in the range, for sure – love mine!
The kersey jacket is quite a different cut. Whereas that one is similar in design to something like a Carhartt Detroit – a bit more relaxed fitting, with the pleated shoulders and corduroy collar – I’d say this model shares more in common with a Type III. While not quite as slim fitting as a trucker, it’s a less boxy silhouette than the kersey jacket, with a more symmetrical appearance because of its two chest pockets and seam stitching.
Hope that helps – there’s always room in the wardrobe for another jacket

@SamD Thanks much Sam; appreciate the info. Unfortunately, it looks like I waited too long as you're sold out in my size. Guess I'll have to enjoy it from afar.
